The Rusanivsky Canal froze in late December and skaters used it daily until January 14th. The weather is now warmer and the skaters have left but there are a few ice fisherman on the canal each day. Many more are ice fishing on the main river in Kiev, the Dnipro.

We call ice fishermen pinguins)) Pinguins also sit on the ice and catch fish in winter))))
