The orginal Ukranian Orthodox Cathedral on this site was demolished by the Soviet regime. This new building was built and opened in 2000 in an area of similiar importance to the Ukranian Church as the Vatican is to Roman Catholics. We visited the Caves and the mummified church patriachs on this large site in Kiev.

Caves Monastry
The orginal Ukranian Orthodox Cathedral on this site was demolished by the Soviet regime. We visited the Caves and the mummified church patriachs on this large site in Kiev.
